Application:
Financial aid packages are available to allow post-docs, advanced graduate students and also some more advanced scientists to attend the PASI. We will cover travel to and from Chile, lodging (double room), most meals and the excursion. Incidental expenses will not be covered.
Applicants should come from academic institutions in the Americas. Please send an e-mail to Torgny Gustafsson (gustaf@physics.rutgers.edu) requesting the support. Attach (i) a brief CV (1 - 2 pages) with contact information, information about your educational background and a list of publications (if any). Also attach (ii) a brief (1 - 2 pages) write-up about your career goals, the reasons you want to attend the PASI and an abstract (< 100 words) for a brief talk ( 20 min) or poster you would like to present. Finally, (iii) have a senior scientist, familiar with your work, provide a letter of recommendation, specifically addressing your qualifications in relation to the topics of the PASI. This letter should be emailed directly to the address above.
We welcome in particular applications from female scientists and members of other underrepresented groups.
The deadline for applications is October 1. You will be notified by October 15.
All scientists (financially supported by the PASI or not) interested in the scientific program for the PASI are encouraged to attend and to submit an abstract for a poster or a talk.
